2020 First-Generation College Celebration
Kickoff was a Philadelphia-style reception with computer stickers and pennants noting "I'm a First Gen Student". An info session was hosted on Tri-Alpha, the honor society for first-gen students and later in the week, sponsored a netflix watch party of A Different World.
2019 First-Generation College Celebration
Last year, we had an in-person table with first-gen swag and a carnival wheel to win prizes. It was wonderful to hear from students and faculty about their first-gen experiences. We also had a social media campaign highlighting first-gens on our campus.
