Produced in partnership with Phase Two Advisory, this research brief examines the structures put in place to support first-generation students. With survey data from 571 practitioners at 411 institutions across 47 states and the District of Columbia and focus groups with 73 practitioners and students at 65 institutions, the brief highlights how both the design and delivery of support for first-generation college students has grown, not only in awareness but also in organizational structures and programmatic offerings, since our last landscape analyses, released in 2018 for four-year institutions and 2020 for two-year institutions.
